Commercial Director, U.S. Army
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle and customer relationships across Army accounts, including both B2B and B2G engagements.
- Leverage and expand a strong existing network within the Army, including program offices, capability developers, procurement stakeholders and end users.
- Build deep understanding of Army operational requirements and translate them into long-term partnerships and solution adoption.
- Conduct product demonstrations, capability briefings and technical presentations tailored to Army audiences.
- Attend Army events, exercises, defense industry expos and relevant conferences to engage stakeholders and promote MyDefence solutions.
- Identify and analyze evolving Army requirements, operational trends and procurement priorities.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, R&D, Operations and Marketing) to align customer needs with product development and go-to-market strategy.
- Track, manage and deliver against commercial KPIs and revenue objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
- 5+ years of technical sales experience within the defense sector with a strong track record in B2B and B2G environments involving the Army.
- Direct experience working with or selling into the Army strongly preferred.
- Established network within the Army ecosystem, including program offices, capability developers, procurement stakeholders and end users.
- Strong understanding of Army operational needs and how they translate into capability requirements and acquisition priorities.
- Familiarity with U.S. defense acquisition processes, ideally within Army procurement channels.
- Experience engaging with Army program offices (e.g., PEO/PM structures) is an advantage.
- Experience with electronic warfare and/or signals intelligence is an advantage.
- Strong results orientation with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships in military environments, particularly within the Army.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels within the Army.
