About the role
Citi is seeking a Commercial Credit Officer to oversee credit underwriting and portfolio management for mid-to-large companies with revenues between $100 million and $3 billion.
Responsibilities
- Manage the credit underwriting process, from initial screening to approval and ongoing portfolio oversight.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and business structures to assess credit risk.
- Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and make well-supported recommendations.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and monitor borrower performance through regular reviews.
- Oversee loan documentation and coordinate with legal counsel.
- Mentor junior credit professionals and contribute to training initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of credit underwriting and portfolio management experience.
- Ability to analyze complex financial statements and cash flow positions.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and their application.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Skilled at identifying and resolving complex credit issues.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word, including financial modeling and data presentation.
Skills
- Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in finance, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with commercial lending products such as working capital facilities, term loans, acquisition finance, trade finance, and derivatives.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives.
