Commercial Credit Officer

About the role

Responsible for managing credit risk and approving loans within a specified portfolio. Works closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provides tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate loan applications for creditworthiness
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure long-term business growth
• Monitor and manage credit risks to prevent default
• Prepare and present loan proposals to senior management for approval
• Provide guidance and support to clients in improving their financial health

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in credit analysis or lending
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Knowledge of credit scoring models and industry standards
• Experience with loan underwriting software
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000 annually

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
