About the role

FLOFORM Countertops is expanding its Tacoma Commercial Division and looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Commercial Countertop Templater / Digital Layout Technician. This is a specialized field position that combines construction, precision measuring, digital templating, and CAD technology. You will play an important role in turning real-world job-site conditions into accurate digital layouts used for precision countertop manufacturing. Whether you have experience in construction and templating or are looking to learn a specialized trade, we will train the right candidate and provide the tools and technical training needed to succeed.

Pay

$23.00–$40.00/hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill

Responsibilities

  • Travel to commercial construction sites throughout the Puget Sound.
  • Perform precision digital countertop measurements and field templates.
  • Use advanced digital measurement equipment and CAD technology.
  • Create accurate 2D CAD layouts for CNC manufacturing.
  • Document walls, edges, cutouts, sinks, fixtures, grommets, radiuses, and other site conditions.
  • Review site readiness and communicate with general contractors, superintendents, and project managers.
  • Identify field conditions that may impact fabrication or installation.
  • Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and safety gear.

Requirements

  • Construction, cabinetry, millwork, templating, CNC, drafting, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read blueprints and accurately measure to 1/16 inch.
  • Comfortable with basic math, fractions, and geometry.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible commercial schedules, including occasional early mornings.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely navigate construction sites, stairs, and ladders.
  • Ability to commute to the Tacoma location during initial training.
