Responsibilities
- Contracting & Commercial Matters
- Serve as the lead legal contact for all company-wide contracting needs
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including client-facing contracts, supplier arrangements, and confidentiality agreements
- Create and refine standardized templates, guidance materials, and contracting workflows to enhance consistency and efficiency
- Work closely with internal partners to structure deals and deliver practical, business-focused legal guidance
- Oversee contract lifecycle management and help scale internal contracting capabilities
- Employment & Human Resources Advisory
- Provide counsel on a full spectrum of workplace issues, including recruitment, terminations, performance concerns, and employee relations
- Draft and revise employment-related documents such as offer letters, employment agreements, and separation arrangements
- Assist in developing and maintaining workplace policies and employee handbooks
- Collaborate with HR to ensure adherence to applicable employment and labor regulations
- Support internal employee-related matters as they arise
- AI & Emerging Technology
- Advise on legal considerations tied to the deployment and use of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of internal governance structures, policies, and controls related to AI
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting AI, fintech, and data practices
- Broad Legal Support
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to internal teams seeking day-to-day guidance
- Provide practical counsel on general business operations
- Partner cross-functionally with groups such as HR, Compliance, Finance, and Technology
- Support the development and rollout of internal policies
- Contribute to special initiatives and strategic projects as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' legal experience, gained at a top law firm and/or within an in-house legal team
- Strong background handling commercial agreements and employment-related issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously
- Practical, solutions-driven mindset with strong business judgment
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution
- Active New York bar admission required
