Commercial Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to join Fulcrum Construction’s team in our Long Beach office. We are looking for an ambitious individual that is fun to be around and can contribute to the culture and profitability of Fulcrum Construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from bid process through certificate of occupancy.
• Direct and supervise activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed on-budget, on-schedule meeting our clients’ demands and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Manage multiple projects at one time in various phases of development while meeting or beating established budget and scheduling goals.
• Prioritize and manage time effectively, maintain composure under pressure, and stay flexible.

Essential Functions

• Negotiate, scope review, and buy-out of subcontracts.
• Provide monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Coordinate and budget for pre-construction activities.
• Work in conjunction with Superintendents, Project Administrators, Project Engineers, accounting staff, and close-out specialist.
• Interface with clients to keep them happy and promote Fulcrum Construction to existing and new customers.

Qualifications

• At least 5-10 years experience as a Project Manager for a general contractor.
• A degree in construction management or engineering is preferred but not required.

$140,000 - $175,000 / year
