Commercial Construction Mechanical Helpers-1

Essential Functions

• Aid in the installation of commercial construction work including underground and above-ground mechanical piping systems, equipment setting, and mechanical trim work.
• Install hangers and supports for pipes and equipment before installation.
• Use basic hand tools and read a tape measure.
• Assist with the installation of materials like copper, steel, malleable iron, PVC, CPVC, and other types of piping.
• Perform duties such as setting chillers, boilers, air handling equipment, utility hookups, etc.
• Work off ladders, man lifts, and other equipment from various heights.
• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel as needed for projects.
• One year of commercial plumbing or mechanical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred.
• Willingness to learn some aspects of the plumbing side is a plus.
• Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and English language skills.
• Continued growth in this area expected.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and ability to climb stairs and navigate ditches required.
