Custodial Duties
Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging items as needed.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are stored in a safe, secure area always.
- Complete standardized cleaning processes per company and government contract standards.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Groundskeeping Duties
- Cut grass using walking-type or riding mowers (less than 2000 lbs).
- Trim hedges and edge around walkways, flower beds, and wells using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
- Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.
- Apply fertilizer or insecticide to lawns, shrubs, and trees as directed.
- Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs as part of seasonal or routine landscaping.
- Water lawns and shrubs during dry periods using hoses or sprinkler systems.
- Pick up and dispose of leaves, paper, or other litter to maintain clean outdoor areas.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
- Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
