About the role

Johnson Financial Group, Wisconsin’s largest privately held, family‑owned financial services institution, is offering an 11‑week rotational internship in Commercial Banking. The program is designed to give interns real experience, meaningful connections, and insight into a career in Commercial Banking.

Program structure

Interns will work alongside Credit and Commercial Banking professionals, rotating through key areas that support the Commercial Banking line of business. The experience combines structured rotations, client‑focused work, and mentorship from experienced team members to build foundational knowledge and practical skills for entry‑level opportunities at JFG.

Experience areas

• Credit: Learn the 5 C’s of Credit and gain exposure to the credit analysis process alongside the Credit team.
• Sales: Attend client meetings with Commercial Banking Relationship Managers and observe how strong client relationships are built and supported.
• Treasury Management: Partner with the Treasury Management team to understand consultative sales and the products and solutions that help clients manage their business needs.

Additional opportunities

• Connect with the Executive Team during orientation and continue building relationships with leaders throughout the summer.
• Participate in a community volunteer event at the Hunger Task Force alongside fellow interns and associates.
• Take part in the Light the Hoan Internship Challenge, a collaborative project that highlights teamwork.
• Enjoy additional networking, learning, and community‑focused experiences designed to make the summer meaningful and fun.

Qualifications

• Actively seeking a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; involvement in a Commercial Banking club or program preferred.
• Junior standing.
• Involvement in a Finance Association highly desired.
