About the role
The Specialist serves as the technical bridge between commercial banking products and clients' enterprise systems. They work directly with corporate and institutional clients to design, configure, and implement integrations that enable seamless use of Fulton's treasury and cash management solutions. This role blends deep technical expertise with client-facing communication skills to become a trusted advisor who understands both the banking product suite and the client's IT ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Assess client IT environments, including ERP systems, authentication methods (SSO/SAML/OAuth), and file transfer protocols.
- Translate client business and technical requirements into integration specifications and configuration plans.
- Configure and test secure file transmissions (e.g., BAI2, ISO 20022, NACHA) and API-based data exchanges.
- Collaborate with internal product, operations, and security teams to ensure compliance with banking regulations and data security standards.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, working directly with client IT teams to resolve connectivity, authentication, and data mapping challenges.
- Provide technical training and documentation to clients for ongoing product use and maintenance.
- Support sales teams during pre-sales engagements by advising on technical feasibility and integration approaches.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and industry integration standards.
- Represent the bank at client technology workshops, industry events, and user groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience in specialty information technology, computer science, finance technology, or related field.
- 5 or more years technical client-facing role within commercial banking, treasury management, or financial technology.
- 3 or more years proven experience with SSO integrations (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- 3 or more years hands-on experience integrating with ERP systems and financial data formats.
- 3 or more years strong background in secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS) and API integrations.

- Technical Knowledge: ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics), banking file formats (BAI2, ISO 20022, NACHA), authentication protocols, and API/web services.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess client environments and design tailored integration solutions.
- Communication Skills: Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, client-friendly explanations.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity, authentication, and data mapping issues.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in banking.
