Commercial Banking Client Specialist

About the role

Provides support for commercial lending operations, assisting Relationship Managers and ensuring smooth loan processing and client service.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Relationship Managers with loan review, funding, and administration.
• Record new loans, maintain files, process payments, and ensure accurate loan documentation.
• Obtain credit information, verify collateral, and calculate interest and charges.
• Assist with disbursements, loan extensions, and client inquiries regarding products and accounts.
• Prepare loan documents, notices, and reports; manage portfolio exceptions and past dues.
• Identify client needs, promote bank products, and support client relationships across banking services.
• Authorize payments, process withdrawals on credit lines, and communicate with external professionals.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper loan closing, monitoring, and compliance.
• Order appraisals, flood determinations, UCC filings, and stay familiar with OFAC regulations.
• Process wire requests and provide administrative support across departments.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and skills.
