About the Role

As a Commercial Banking Officer at Landmark National Bank, you will deliver on our commitment to be champions and catalysts for our communities by originating and servicing a profitable portfolio of commercial loans and treasury management services. You will develop an understanding of our customer relationship model, commercial banking products, and services while building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. This role emphasizes portfolio management (70-80% of performance) with additional focus on training, leadership, community involvement, and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, prospective customers, team members, and community partners.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting experienced bankers in meeting commercial loan and treasury management needs promptly.
  • Actively engage in outreach to current and prospective customers while learning bank profitability, growth, and risk management objectives.
  • Learn the Landmark sales process to win commercial loans and treasury management opportunities, including participation in regional weekly sales meetings.
  • Collect and analyze financial data to make informed decisions.
  • Learn commercial banking, treasury management, mortgage banking, and retail banking products to identify cross-sale and referral opportunities.
  • Participate in regional loan committee meetings.
  • Comply with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including audits and internal loan reviews.
  • Collaborate with teams and leadership to develop, monitor, and achieve branch and regional goals.
  • Manage professional growth using the quarterly Job Progress Plan to meet performance targets.
  • Engage in culture initiatives, team success activities (e.g., daily huddles, weekly sales meetings, Celebration events), and community representation.
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent banking experience (preferred fields: Agriculture, Business, or related).
  • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Basic financial analytical skills.
  • Strong planning and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs (Internet, Word, Excel, Outlook).
