Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Represents the bank throughout the region in a manner aligned with client aspirations.
  • Guides sales and business development efforts in the region, focusing on loan growth, deposit growth, non-interest income growth, and cross-functional referral activity.
  • Accountable for overall profitability of the region, including pricing disciplines, net interest margin management, optimization of non-interest income, and operating efficiency within defined company targets.
  • Responsible for maintaining asset quality for the region, ensuring Commercial Lending Officers maintain safety and soundness within defined risk parameters and credit culture expectations.
  • Represents the bank's culture of responsibility throughout the region, emphasizing communication, employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.
  • Maintains key senior team members to minimize turnover.
  • Manages direct reports, including Lending Officers and others as appropriate, ensuring they meet performance goals.
  • Hires, fires, and administers salaries for staff within the region, adhering to HR guidelines.
  • Cultivates high levels of engagement with Local Advisory Boards of Directors as ambassadors for the bank in communities.
  • Participates in strategic planning activities and leads in strategic execution priorities.
  • Ensures outstanding service to internal and external customers.
  • Keeps current on trends and conditions in banking and market areas, adapting to changes in legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technological environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Desirable: MBA degree or related graduate-level education.
  • Completion of graduate-level banking school.
  • Minimum of five or more years banking experience, including leadership in commercial banking, retail banking, mortgage, wealth management, and marketing.
  • Previous President role in a similar-sized bank preferred.
  • Proven ability to present information and respond to questions from the Board(s) of Directors, President, CEO, managers, employees, and clients.
  • Ability to direct business development activities for the defined region and communicate expectations to others.
  • Established ability to develop, communicate, and implement strategic initiatives within a market.
