About the role

As a Healthcare, Higher Education, Nonprofit Commercial Banker (Relationship Manager), you will be the focal point of client acquisition and ongoing relationships within the Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries. You will grow and retain profitable relationships with not-for-profit health systems, universities and colleges, and other not-for-profit organizations. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to introduce comprehensive banking solutions, partnering across JPMorgan Chase’s national footprint in Treasury, Industry Solutions, Credit, Investment Banking, Derivatives, Corporate Responsibility, and other firmwide resources.

Our ideal candidate has deep local connections and market knowledge, with a methodical approach to market activity and prospecting. You will be required to have a deep working knowledge of solutions including Credit, Treasury Services, International Banking, Syndicated Finance, Commercial Card, and Chase Paymentech Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships.
  • Drive efficiency through automation and embrace innovative opportunities offered by new technologies.
  • Grow and retain profitable client relationships within the not-for-profit healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit sectors.
  • Mobilize internal networks and resources to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals while managing, prioritizing, and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships.
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and partnerships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training.
  • Sales management, business development skills, and proficiency in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, and self-directed, proactive approach.
