Commercial Auto Claims Rep - Property Damage

About the role

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to join a team. This role focuses exclusively on property damage claims, with no bodily injury or litigation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigating losses and identifying coverage issues.
• Handling first and third-party property damage claims, including total loss, fire, theft, and glass claims.
• Managing cargo and in-tow claims from start to finish.
• Obtaining and reviewing estimates, evidence, reports, and medical records.
• Establishing damages and reserves, and processing payments.
• Taking recorded statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Maintaining claim files in accordance with best practices.
• Presenting files in roundtable discussions and writing coverage letters.
• Obtaining and maintaining all required state adjuster licenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• 3+ years of experience handling commercial auto claims, with a focus on property damage.
• Experience with cargo, in-tow, and total loss claims.
• Familiarity with salvage platforms and vehicle damage appraisal (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work PST business hours and travel for conferences or meetings if required.

Pay

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on qualifications and other considerations.
