Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain commercial data models to support volume, revenue, and margin planning across global markets
- Support supply chain and operations teams with demand planning inputs, allocation scenario modeling, and logistics cost analysis
- Maintain pricing databases and ensure accuracy of realized price tracking across regions, segments, and incoterms
- Support the development and execution of pricing proposals, including netback analysis, CIF/FOB benchmarking, and margin impact modeling
- Analyze pricing variances versus budget and prior period, identifying root causes and surfacing insights to commercial leadership
- Prepare analysis and presentation materials for executive reviews, global sales meetings, and board-level reporting
- Track and synthesize global soda ash and sodium bicarbonate market developments, including supply/demand dynamics, competitor activity, trade flows, and end-market trends
- Produce regular market intelligence reports and briefings to support regional sales teams and executive decision-making
- Monitor industry publications, trade data, and customer signals to identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Support the preparation of customer and competitor profiles in advance of negotiations and strategic account reviews
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or a related analytical discipline preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a commercial, analytical, or supply chain role, ideally within industrial minerals, chemicals, commodities, or a B2B manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/commercial modeling; experience with SAP and other reporting platforms and systems a plus
- Demonstrated curiosity and working proficiency with AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent); comfortable leveraging AI to accelerate analysis, drafting, and research in a fast-moving commercial environment
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for commercial and executive audiences
- Familiarity with contract management processes and commercial terms in a B2B context
- Exposure to global trade, logistics, or commodity pricing mechanics preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies
