The Role

The Commercial Analyst will support WaterBridge's Commercial Operations team across pricing, contract analysis, financial modeling, and business development. This is a high-visibility role that works directly with commercial leadership and interfaces regularly with finance, engineering, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate commercial opportunities, including new customer contracts, volume commitments, and rate structures
  • Support contract negotiations by preparing economic analyses, scenario runs, and pricing proposals
  • Track and analyze customer volumes, revenue, and contract performance against commitments
  • Aid in the development and execution of business development initiatives, including preparation of term sheets, proposals, and presentations for prospective customers
  • Support customer relationship management in coordination with senior commercial staff
  • Monitor basin-level market activity and competitive positioning to inform commercial strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and legal to ensure contract terms are accurately captured and executed
  • Prepare regular reporting packages for internal stakeholders and senior leadership

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a commercial, finance, or analytical role; midstream, energy infrastructure, or water services experience preferred
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; ability to build models from scratch and audit existing ones
  • Working knowledge of midstream contract structures, including volume commitments, dedications, and fee-based arrangements
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy
  • Experience using Enverus to export and analyze permit activity, rig counts, DUCs, remaining inventory, production profiles, and offset operator activity
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences, with proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
