Commercial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain customer relationships for Centerline Logistics Corporation and all subsidiary companies
• Aid in demurrage calculations
• Aid in contract administration
• Ensure on-hire and off-hire times are accurate and timely
• Create and maintain reports to track planned and unplanned service disruptions, and utilization
• Aid in tracking and maintaining maintenance banks
• Work closely with Commercial, Dispatch, Operations, and Accounting departments as needed to ensure efficient communication and company-wide objectives are met
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years of Maritime Experience Preferred
• Must have some knowledge of the marine petroleum transportation industry
• Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
• Experience with maritime associations and sales preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience and knowledge in petroleum transport and logistics, terminal transfers, and bunkering
• Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of customer relations, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office setting and be capable of handling multiple projects with firm deadlines
• Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment
• Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications
• Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions
• Computer skills that include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and typing of a minimum of 60 words per minute
• Ability to work with office staff, customers and vessel crew members
• Valid driver's license

Job Condition and Environment

• Per iodic travel expected
• Work with but not limited to computers, fax machines, copiers
• Infrequent light physical effort required
• Expected Hours of Work: Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some after hours and weekend hours may be required
