Commercial Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded finance professional to join our North America Commercial Finance team. In this role, you will support business performance through financial analysis, customer rebate management, forecasting, month-end processes, and reporting - partnering closely with Sales, Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting. Given our global footprint, flexibility to collaborate across regions and time zones is required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCustomer Rebates & Commercial TermsManage customer rebates and allowances in company systems, ensuring accurate accruals, accounting (includes maintaining detailed reconciliations), and claims processing. Partner with Sales and Accounts Receivable to support the review and maintenance of customer trading agreements and to ensure appropriate accrual of marketing and promotional investments.Financial AnalysisProvide financial analysis and commercial insights to support decision-making. Analyze product, brand, category, and customer profitability; evaluate trade spend and promotional ROI; and identify business risks and opportunities.Financial Reporting & Month-EndSupport month-end close activities including accruals, reclasses, account reconciliations, and GL to reporting system data validation. Prepare monthly management reports, investigate variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, and synthesize financial data across multiple business units.Budgeting & ForecastingAssist in annual budget and monthly forecast preparation. Manage high-volume data files loaded into planning systems, dollarize demand forecasts, and contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting and reporting processes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related fieldWorking knowledge of core accounting concepts (debits/credits, P&L and balance sheet relationship)Advanced Excel and financial modeling skillsExperience working with large datasets and BI/reporting toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build relationships and influence across business functionsSelf-motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in consumer goods, wholesale distribution, or retailFamiliarity with ERP systems and business intelligence toolsDemonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable insightsExperience with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT)
