RWE Supply & Trading Americas, LLC To start as soon as possible About The Role Join a new team at the intersection of Origination, Trading and Business Development, helping shape the future of RWE Supply & Trading’s US power business. This is an opportunity to build out commercial solutions for the US operating portfolio and new thermal and renewable assets in development. The work ranges across analytical disciplines and requires holistic interest in the US power system, the ability to build relationships with colleagues who have experience and deep expertise in the power markets and a humble attitude. Your responsibilities: Investigate market data, FERC & ISO rules, and utility load tariffs turning complex information into actionable strategies and analysis.Build out the team’s data and analytics development environmentBuild tools and reporting infrastructure for senior US commercial committees and business operations.Prepare portfolio reviews and go-to-market presentations.Work closely with Originators, Traders, Risk, Finance and Commercial Operations to strengthen US commercial capabilities. Your Powerfull Skills At least two years of relevant professional experience in US power market analysis, business development or strategy.Practical capabilities in Python, SQL, Tableau and Power BI, with strong organization and project management skills.Demonstrable experience using LLMs/coding assistants to build new workflows, and automate recurring research and analytical workflows, with appropriate controls.Intermediate understanding of financial principles, including capital budgeting, financial derivatives and risk management.Curiosity to investigate unfamiliar markets, datasets and technologies independently and identify actionable solutions.Ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues across the US power business and communicate complex analysis clearly.A genuine commitment to doing what you say and saying what you mean, while taking ownership and delivering results. Advantageous, But Not Essential A Master’s or advanced degree in STEM, business or another relevant field.Interest in quantitative modelling methods.Experience with energy market research sources such as YES Energy, Wood Mackenzie, Capital IQ, Energy Velocity or EIA.Knowledge of US power market organizations and professional networks.
