About the role
The Commercial AE role at incident.io is pivotal to the company's growth. You'll be selling into VP Engineering, CTO, and SRE leaders at forward-thinking digital-native companies, with deals typically ranging from $40k to $50k and a clear path to higher figures. The role involves a full-cycle approach with a strong outbound bias, where you build your own target lists, run creative outreach campaigns, and close deals within a 45-day cycle.
Responsibilities
- Own your own pipeline from target list creation to closing deals
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Run creative outbound campaigns to reach decision-makers
- Close deals within a 45-day cycle
- Work closely with a Business Development Representative (BDR) and Solutions Engineer
- Collaborate with Customer Success from early stages of the deal
- Operate in a startup environment where your work is visible and impactful
Requirements
- Experience closing deals in the $40k-$50k range with sub-60-day cycles
- Outbound selling is seen as a craft, not a numbers game
- Genuinely curious about the challenges faced by on-call engineers
- Comfortable holding technical conversations independently
- Scrappy and resourceful in approaching tasks
- Appealed to by the startup culture and startup life
Qualifications
- Technical background, preferably in engineering or related fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Passion for AI and its applications in incident response
