Combined Neurohospitalist and Outpatient General Neurology

About the Role

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Neurology is seeking a board-certified neurologist to join our academically driven program in a combined inpatient and outpatient role. This opportunity is ideal for a clinician-educator passionate about delivering high-quality neurological care while shaping the next generation of physicians. The position offers a flexible schedule designed to promote clinical excellence and personal balance.

Schedule

• One week with the neurohospitalist team followed by one week off
• Two weeks in the general neurology clinic

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad spectrum of general neurology conditions with seamless access to subspecialty colleagues
• Practice efficiently with robust infrastructure, including embedded clinical pharmacy specialists and pre-authorization support
• Play a meaningful role in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified in neurology (ABMS or AOA)
• Subspecialty certification preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain New Hampshire and Vermont medical licensure
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and a passion for academic medicine
