Combination Building Inspector

SAFEbuilt · Sandusky County, OH · 1 mo ago
Engineering$40–$48/hrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections with real content. We need to parse the posting. Job title: Building Inspector - Sandusky County, OH $40-$48 Hourly plus Fleet Vehicle/Gas Card, Training & Certification Incentives!!! Relocation Assistance Available* We must not repeat job title as heading. We need sections: maybe "About the role" (intro paragraph), "Responsibilities" (list of duties), "Requirements" (maybe Education/Certification/Experience?), "Skills" (Skills/Knowledge), "Benefits" (Compensation & Benefits), "Pay" (the $40-$48 hourly plus fleet vehicle/gas card, training incentives, relocation assistance). Also maybe "Schedule"? Not mentioned. We need to preserve all substantive info, no boilerplate. We must remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So remove the EEO paragraph at end, contact info, etc. Also remove "More About SAFEbuilt:" paragraph? That's maybe not needed but could be considered about company; but we can keep as part of About the role? The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." We can include About the role (company overview and role description). Responsibilities (list). Requirements (Education/Certification/Experience). Skills (Skills/Knowledge). Benefits (Compensation & Benefits). Pay (hourly rate plus fleet vehicle/gas card, training incentives, relocation assistance). Possibly also "Physical Requirements" and "Work Environment" could be part of Requirements or a separate section like "Working Conditions". But we only have headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. No "Physical Requirements" heading allowed. Could incorporate into Requirements or maybe Qualifications? But we have Qualifications heading allowed. Could use Qualifications for certifications/education. Requirements for duties? Actually typical: Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (experience/education), Skills (skills/knowledge), Qualifications (certifications). But we need to follow instruction: use headings only if posting has real specific content. We'll decide. Let's extract content: Intro paragraph: "SAFEbuilt has the technical expertise to provide Community Development services, but the reason for our success is our people. Over 1600 experts make up our team from across the country, with experience in a full range of professional services and skills. Each Team member values integrity, improvement, service, teamwork, and respect. These Core Values are the foundation of positive relationships among coworkers, our clients, residents, and anyone invested in the continued success of their community. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Building Inspector to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. You’ll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged." That's About the role. Responsibilities: list from "Job Requirements Perform field inspections during various stages of constructionRead and examine plans and specifications when requiredReport violations and maintain files/recordsPerform other related duties as required". Actually that's under Job Requirements but it's duties. So we can make Responsibilities list: - Perform field inspections during various stages of construction - Read and examine plans and specifications when required - Report violations and maintain files/records - Perform other related duties as required Skills/Knowledge: list: - Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology - Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions - Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills - Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment Education/Certification/Experience: list: - OH Residential/Limited Commercial (RLC) (Lvl 3) Building Inspector Certification required - Electrical Safety Inspector (ESI) Specialization/Endorsement is required - Interim certifications may be accepted - Additional OH Certifications are a plus - Experience in municipal code inspections preferred - Valid driver's license with a good driving record required Physical Requirements: list but we may incorporate into Requirements or maybe a separate section not allowed. Could put under Requirements as part of "Requirements". But we have Qualifications heading allowed; maybe we put certifications under Qualifications, and experience/education under Requirements. However we have both Education/Certification/Experience and Skills/Knowledge. We could map: - Requirements: Responsibilities? Actually typical: Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (experience/education), Skills (skills/knowledge), Qualifications (certifications). But we have both Education/Certification/Experience and Skills/Knowledge. Let's decide: Section "Requirements": include Education/Certification/Experience (certifications, license, experience). Section "Skills": include Skills/Knowledge. Section "Qualifications": maybe not needed if we already used Requirements for certs. But we could also put Physical Requirements and Work Environment under Requirements? But we have no heading for those. Could incorporate into Requirements as bullet points. But we must not create thin sections. Let's think: we have substantive content for About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements (including certs, experience, physical, work environment), Skills, Benefits, Pay. That's 6 sections. We need to ensure we don't include headings with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Now Benefits: from "COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a comprehensive benefit offering. Benefits include a company car and fuel coverage, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, matching 401K Plans, wellness programs and more. SAFEbuilt is committed to Career Progression through paid training and step increases for additional certifications and licenses." So Benefits list: - Company car and fuel coverage - Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance - Paid holidays - Paid time off - Matching 401K plans - Wellness programs - Career progression through paid training and step increases for additional certifications and licenses Pay: from "$40-$48 Hourly plus Fleet Vehicle/Gas Card, Training & Certification Incentives!!! Relocation Assistance Available*". So Pay section: hourly rate $40-$48, fleet vehicle/gas card, training & certification incentives, relocation assistance. We should not include excessive punctuation like multiple exclamation marks; just present. Schedule: not mentioned, so omit. Now we need to output HTML fragment only, no or . Use

for each section heading, then content:

for prose,

  • for lists. We need to avoid repeating job title as heading. Not needed. We need to drop boilerplate: EEO paragraph, contact info, "More About SAFEbuilt:" maybe we can keep some of that as part of About the role? Actually the "More About SAFEbuilt:" paragraph is about company mission; we could incorporate into About the role but it's somewhat generic. However it's substantive: "Our employees are our greatest asset..." etc. Could be considered About the role. But we already have About the role paragraph; we could add more sentences. However the instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." Adding more to About the role is fine. But we need to decide whether to include that paragraph. It's not boilerplate; it's about company values and mission. Could be included. But we must remove duplicated lines. Not seeing duplicates. Let's craft About the role paragraph combining the intro and the "More About SAFEbuilt:" paragraph (maybe trimmed). We'll keep it as a single

with multiple sentences. Now Responsibilities: list as above. Requirements: include Education/Certification/Experience plus Physical Requirements and Work Environment? Might be too much but okay. We could split: Requirements (Education/Certification/Experience) and Qualifications (Physical Requirements & Work Environment). But we have Qualifications heading allowed. Let's use: - Requirements: Education/Certification/Experience (certifications, license, experience) - Qualifications: Physical Requirements & Work Environment (mobility, vision, hearing, manual dexterity, work environment) Skills: Skills/Knowledge list. Benefits: list. Pay: list. Thus we have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay. Now ensure we don't create thin sections: each has multiple bullets or sentences. Now produce HTML. Let's draft:
