Building Engineer - Multi site

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. You will work on-site at a main location and assist with other local facilities using a company vehicle. A clean driving record and successful completion of a background check, drug screen (including Marijuana), and workplace physical are required.

About the Role

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will monitor, maintain, and repair building system operations, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with an approximate start time of 7:30/8:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
• Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge of your job discipline while leading by example and modeling CBRE RISE values.
• Build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.
• Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies, explaining difficult or sensitive information as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analyzing multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.
• Must maintain a good driving record and successfully pass a background check, drug screen (including Marijuana), and workplace physical.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
