Columbus Sanitation - Maintenance Rep - Full time

About the Role

As a Maintenance Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Store cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization.
• Cleans and picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store.
• Uses H-E-B chemical program; correctly organizes and maintains stock in maintenance room.
• Washes windows and mirrors throughout Store.
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles throughout the shift.
• Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards and SOPs.
• Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs using simple hand tools.
• Maintains ceiling air vents; replaces light bulbs.
• Works with and around customers; attends to their needs.
• Assists customers in the location of product.
• Performs Customer Service Assistant (CSA) duties, when needed.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Customer service skills.
• Sacking skills.
• Ability to take initiative and prioritize competing tasks.

Qualifications

• Completion of Company Orientation, Basics of Safety training, and In-store orientation.

• Frequently push or pull with arms.
• Occasionally stand, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, climb ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, perform fine motor movements.
• Occasionally be exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs (with assistance or breaking down items).

Measurements noted are generally defined as: Constantly: 5.5+ hours per 8-hour day; Frequently: 2.5 - 5.5 hours per 8-hour day; Occasionally: 0 - 2.5 hours per 8-hour day.
