Color Mixer (Part-Time)
About the role
The Color Mixer Specialists at Sherwin-Williams prepare customers' paint orders, tint and mix products, maintain precise work order files and formulas, and assist in making deliveries. They also assist customers in person and over the phone, ensuring they understand the products and services offered.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately
- Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
- Prepare drawdowns for submittal to customers
- Clean, fill, and repair equipment, as needed
- Maintain precise work order files and formulas
- Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
- Stock shelves and set up displays
- Clean store equipment
- Load/unload delivery trucks
- Aid in making deliveries, as needed
- Absorb and respond to customer inquiries and needs
- Present appropriate products and services
- Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
- Stay knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Suggest ways to improve sales
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- High School diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
