Color Lab Technician

Position Summary A Color Lab Technician provides customer service in the form of color matching stains/paints/glazes. Will work alongside the Lacquer Specialist and follow their direction. The Tint Specialist will also be responsible for making sure the Lacquer orders get pulled and put on the trucks properly. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Mixing and Matching of Stains and Pigmented LacquersPerform required quality control checks for all outgoing tinted itemsMaintain in-depth and detailed records of colors developed as outlined in the Tint Station Operations ManualStocking ItemsSupporting Lacquer Specialist and Sales TeamPull, Catalyze, Shake and stage truck orders for FinishMaintain a clean work environmentKeep accurate log of any pour offs of bad material and deposit into the waste drum and keep it labeled appropriatelyPerform other duties as required and assigned Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Knowledge or Experience in working with Lacquer/Colors/Stain developmentAbility to see color (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow)Knowledge of wood products such as species, plywood, lumberStrong computer skillsAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to work independentlyAbility to Communicate effectively with internal and external customers Benefits MedicalDentalVisionSupplemental benefitsCompany-paid life insuranceLong-term disabilityEligible for 401k first day of employmentCompany match on 401k after 6 months of service This job description is to serve as a guide.
