COLLEGE & YOUNG ADULT PASTOR

About the role

This role focuses on reaching the next generation for Jesus through compelling preaching, intentional discipleship, and leadership development, while helping young adults become fully integrated into the life and mission of Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a vibrant college student and young adult ministry
• Engage and disciple college students and young adults through engaging preaching, small groups, and other discipleship methods
• Develop and implement strategies for leadership development among college students and young adults
• Collaborate with other church leaders to integrate college student and young adult ministry into the broader life and mission of Timberline Church
• Build relationships with college students and young adults to understand their needs and interests, and tailor ministry accordingly
• Represent Timberline Church at local events and conferences to connect with the college and young adult community

Requirements

• A passion for reaching the next generation for Jesus
• Experience leading and developing college student and young adult ministries
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively with other church leaders and staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with college students and young adults
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (ministry, education, etc.)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant ministry experience
• Experience working with college students and young adults
• Passion for the local church and its mission

Skills

• Effective communication and public speaking skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with technology and social media platforms
