About the role
The College Writing Program at Hartwick College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach ENGL 110 College Writing. Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree (or higher) in English, rhetoric, composition, or a related field and demonstrate experience teaching first-year writing.
Responsibilities
- Teach ENGL 110 College Writing
- Develop and deliver engaging, effective course materials
- Engage students in critical thinking and writing skills
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain high standards of academic integrity and professionalism
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or higher) in English, rhetoric, composition, or related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching first-year writing
- Ability to teach online and/or face-to-face courses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay
Salary range: $830-1,100 per credit
