College Writing Program - Adjunct Pool

About the role

The College Writing Program at Hartwick College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach ENGL 110 College Writing. Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree (or higher) in English, rhetoric, composition, or a related field and demonstrate experience teaching first-year writing.

Responsibilities

• Teach ENGL 110 College Writing
• Develop and deliver engaging, effective course materials
• Engage students in critical thinking and writing skills
• Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain high standards of academic integrity and professionalism

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or higher) in English, rhetoric, composition, or related field
• Demonstrated experience teaching first-year writing
• Ability to teach online and/or face-to-face courses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $830-1,100 per credit
