College Work Study Student - Healthy Food Market Assistant (Wellness Center)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

- Students will engage in distribution of goods for Healthy Food Market. - This is a student-facing role within the Wellness Center - Will assist in clerical duties, as needed to support the department. - Adhere to the City Colleges of Chicago Customer Services Excellence Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a part of the Student Financial Aid Program and approved for Federal Work-Study
  • Must successfully pass CCC hiring process (may include criminal background check & drug screening if sensitive responsibilities are in the job description)
  • Must be 16 years or older, have work permit consent, and eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be actively attending one of the City Colleges of Chicago – Malcolm X College must be the home campus.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours pre-credit or credit classes
  • Must be pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate
  • Must have and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (waived for first semester new students)
  • Must be in “good standing” – no City Colleges of Chicago academic restrictions
  • Must not be current Full or Part-time employees of the City Colleges of Chicago
  • All positions are “employment at-will”

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required or actively pursuing a GED at the City Colleges of Chicago
  • Must attend trainings and workshops as required
  • Must possess strong communication skills
  • Organized and personable
  • Promotes a positive role model and favorable public image as City Colleges of Chicago representative.
  • General computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills or the willingness to grow in this area
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and demonstrably self-motivated
  • Have a willingness to learn
  • Be consistent
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
