College Student/Caregiving Experience

About the role

Martha's Hands offers the opportunity to attend our Core Caregiver Training Class and gain paid caregiving experience based on your skills and comfort level. You will shadow our Nurse Care Managers, observing nursing assessments, care plan development, orientation/training of caregivers, and clinical oversight of various care situations. As a student, we know school is a priority and offer scheduling flexibility to work around your other commitments. Our caregivers assist private‑pay clients with daily activities so they can remain in their homes, embodying our mission of "Love through Service".

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with their daily activities (private‑pay home care).
• Shadow Nurse Care Managers: observe nursing assessments, care plan development, orientation/training of caregivers, and clinical oversight of various care situations.
• Complete monthly caregiver skill reviews and competency tests, earning a certificate of completion recognized by the Missouri Health & Senior Services Department.
• Embrace and promote the mission of "Love through Service" in all client interactions.

Requirements

• Must be over the age of 18.
• Must have a valid ID.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of hands‑on caregiving experience (experience gained through school, child care, or similar settings counts).
• Must have a valid email address for hiring process communication and staffing purposes.

Pay

Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 (Base + Differential)
