Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Aid in the design process for marketing materials, such as handouts, social, and email graphics.
  • Maintain discipline email inboxes and respond to instructor inquiries and requests.
  • Manage our internal SharePoint site, ensuring marketing and sales tools are delivered to sales reps in a timely manner and send regular updates about new or updated materials.
  • Support social media outreach by executing plans, posting, and contributing creative ideas.
  • Create and manage direct marketing emails and assist in setting up email drip campaigns.
  • Aid in organizing virtual events and webinars using Pardot and Zoom.
  • Research and convert leads using marketing automation tools.
  • Handle digital exam copy requests, processing them and following up with instructors.
  • Provide sales support by answering questions from professors, sending sample copies, and posting relevant updates in Salesforce.
  • Write and format articles for the Norton Learning Blog.
  • Offer general administrative assistance, including maintaining book metadata, pulling lists, marketing databases, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, checking requests, expense and budget reporting, etc.
  • Collaborate with the marketing assistant team to hire and manage college marketing interns.
  • Aid the design team with accuracy checks for print materials.
  • Set up surveys and campaigns on SurveyMonkey and BHN.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, with previous experience in the book publishing industry preferred but not required.
  • Extremely well organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, and ability to work well within a team and individually.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel required; familiarity with a variety of social media platforms, preferred.
  • Knowledge of virtual meeting software (e.g. Zoom and Microsoft Teams) a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Vimeo, and email marketing services a plus.
  • Must be able to work regular business hours from our New York City headquarters and eligible for a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
  • Must have strong time-management skills and a proven ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively and accurately.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual compensation for this position is currently $48,000.
  • All salaries and salary ranges posted by Norton may vary depending on experience, skills, location, and like considerations.
