College Job Shadows - Puget Sound Region

About the role

The MultiCare College Job Shadow program offers a one-time, job shadowing opportunity for individuals pursuing healthcare disciplines with required hours to enter into the program (exclusions: Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Medicine, pre-Medicine).

Responsibilities

• Observe various departments and roles within MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital.
• Engage with healthcare professionals to gain insights into different aspects of patient care and hospital operations.
• Participate in discussions and learn about the hospital's mission, values, and patient-centered care approach.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a healthcare-related degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Must have completed all required immunizations.
• Must pass the Tuberculosis QuantiFERON Gold Test.
• Must provide valid photo identification.

• Strong interest in healthcare and a desire to learn more about the field.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to observe and document observations.
• Passion for learning and a willingness to engage with healthcare professionals and patients.
