College Job Shadows - Inland NW Region

About the role

The MultiCare College Job Shadow program offers a one-time, job shadowing opportunity for individuals pursuing healthcare disciplines with required hours to enter into the program (exclusions: Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Medicine, pre-Medicine).

Responsibilities

• Observe various departments within Deaconess Hospital.
• Participate in daily activities and learn from experienced staff members.
• Engage in discussions about patient care and hospital operations.

Requirements

Applicants must belong to an accredited college or university affiliated with MultiCare. They must also meet the following requirements:

• Current immunizations.
• TB QuantiFERON Gold Test.
• Photo identification.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Are currently enrolled in a healthcare-related program.
• Have completed prerequisite coursework relevant to their intended field of study.
• Are interested in learning about different aspects of hospital operations.

Skills

While not mandatory, having the following skills may be beneficial:

• Strong communication skills.
• An interest in healthcare and patient care.
• An ability to observe and take notes during observations.
