College Intern - Highways
About the role
This internship is for Engineering Students with an interest in Civil Engineering for the Summer 2027 season. Interns will gain insight into various aspects of engineering including design, forecasting, and modeling. College Interns will be exposed to challenges, projects, and technology related to operations, safety, and design, and will complete tasks both in the office and in the field as needed.

Responsibilities
- Work on design, forecasting, and modeling projects
- Participate in operations, safety, and design-related tasks
- Complete assignments in both office and field settings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Classwork in civil/construction engineering
- Participation in professional societies (ASCE, ITE)
- Applicable prior internship experience
