COLLEGE CORPS PROGRAM AND EVENTS SPECIALIST

About the role

The College Corps Program and Events Specialist supports the CSUMB College Corps initiative, which aims to develop future community leaders through a year of service and mentorship for 60‑70 Fellows who receive $10,000 in educational support for 450 hours of service in K‑12 settings. The role works under the Principal Investigator and alongside the College Corps Director to administer recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of Fellows, track service hours, coordinate background checks and TB testing, manage documentation, and collaborate with the Service Learning Institute. This is a grant‑funded position; continued employment is contingent upon funding, with current funding expiring June 30 2027 (subject to renewal). The position is designated as sensitive, involving responsibility for the care and safety of minors, access to Level 1 confidential personally identifiable information, and mandated reporting duties under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and Title IX. Employment requires successful background check per the California Fair Chance Act.
