About the role
The College Brand Manager (CBM) position at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University supports the strategic direction, vision, and creative standards for college-specific external communications and marketing efforts. This role works closely with college leadership, faculty, and staff to develop and implement marketing initiatives that align with the university's broader goals.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes marketing and communication initiatives for each college, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic vision and brand identity.
- Works directly with college leadership to develop external marketing and communication initiatives, contributing to the success of each college at Embry-Riddle.
- Collaborates with the Creative Strategy & Brand Management team to design themes and tone for college publications, annual reports, and other college-related materials.
- Writes original material for publication via articles, reports, newsletters, etc., and collaborates with the News, Development, Multimedia, Social Media, and Web teams to provide newsworthy information for distribution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a communications field such as public relations, communications, marketing, or other related areas.
- Five years of progressively responsible relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Exceptionally strong oral and written communications skills, including editing and writing experience across long- and short-form print, web, video, and social media pieces.
- A strong understanding of social media's power, including current and future trends that may impact our messaging.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A significant experience working on a wide variety of communications projects including digital and print magazines and newsletters.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Familiarity with industry-standard publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, and Sitecore, Microsoft Office suite, Hootsuite, etc.
