As a College and Career Coordinator, you will drive strategic initiatives to prepare all CSUSA students for postsecondary success. You will implement, coordinate, and manage all functions of the College and Career readiness programs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate data and strategies for CSUSA students to ensure postsecondary success.
  • Collaborate with partner schools and agencies to promote transition initiatives.
  • Coordinate tracking and follow-up of transitioning students.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and Education team to determine instructor training needs.
  • Assess educational software programs for quality.
  • Assist with the coordination of staff development and instructor training.
  • Attend local college meetings and seminars.
  • Develop and conduct in-service training for teachers regarding programs, instructional strategies, and best practices.
  • Perform classroom visitations, assist teachers in improving instructional performance, and monitor improvement.
  • Coordinate schedules with existing instructional programs.
  • Coordinate community and parent involvement through partnerships, events, after-school clubs, etc.
  • Lead and coordinate extracurricular programming, including tutoring and enrichment.
  • Monitor student progress.
  • Serve as a resource to school administrators and content area teachers in identifying needs, adapting instructional techniques, and implementing programs.
  • Collect and report student data.
  • Initiate and maintain effective liaisons with district and professional associations to stay current on instructional best practices.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (preferred) and eligibility for teaching certification in the state of the position.
  • Demonstrated evidence of involvement in school activities with leadership responsibilities.
  • Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Student Information System (SIS).
  • Detailed knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law.

Work Environment

  • Work is typically performed in an office and/or school environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
  • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors, and on the telephone.
  • Ability to speak in audible tones so others may understand clearly in classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone.
  • Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
