About the role
Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in Tustin.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accounts within assigned portfolio
- Contact clients for payment of past due invoices
- Provide information and/or documentation to both internal and external clients
- Resolve client issues with the Collections Manager and Operations Designees
- Maintain current and accurate account notes in collections software
- Compile updates on accounts for the Collections Manager, Operations, and Sales
- Follow up daily in collections software
- Notify the Collections Manager of negative payment patterns
- Facilitate and/or attend conference calls for collections activity
- Research and resolve cash discrepancies on client accounts using Oracle
- Process credit card payments
- Complete side projects/tasks as assigned by the Collections Manager
Qualifications
- Basic minimum qualifications: AS/AA in Accounting or related field (not mandatory), collections experience preferred, authorization to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship, professional working proficiency in English including reading, writing, and speaking
- Skills: general business concepts, general accounting knowledge, computers and accounting software, basic mathematical principles, collections policies, procedures, and best practices, strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening skills, negotiation skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, strong customer service skills, detail-oriented, employ tact and discretion in business-related conversations
Additional Information
- Compensation Range: $20 - $24 per hour depending on level of experience and qualifications
- Full-time position, eligible for overtime pay
- Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM to 4:30PM
