Collections Specialist
About The Job
Analyze and assess the creditworthiness of customers using external credit risk management reports to determine appropriate credit limits, research account disputes and bill discrepancies, perform customer account reconciliation, respond to credit inquiries from external and internal customers, and identify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Establish new customer accounts
- Perform financial research to determine lines of credit
- Analyze customers who exceed authorization limit and make limit recommendations
- Review and release credit holds
- Collections/Accounts Receivable
- Perform collection activities
- Work with customers and sales agents on reconciling and resolving outstanding balances
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments
- Respond to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Complete customer vendor forms for manager approval
- Process Refinement
- Work with Business Analyst on JD Edwards system updates, improvements, and error resolutions
- Review and recommend process improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Follow SOX procedures and controls, as well as corporate accounting procedures
About You
- 1+ years credit and collections experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized and detail orientated
- Able to multitask and work well while meeting deadlines
- JD Edwards software experience preferred
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience

Expected Compensation
$55,000-58,000/yearly + 5% Bonus Eligibility
