Collections Specialist

About the role

Careerscape is hiring a fully remote Collections Specialist to recover outstanding account balances for our clients. It's an ideal entry point into finance and accounts receivable, with paid training and real room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and email to resolve past-due balances
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines
• Keep accurate records of all collection activity
• Prioritize outreach based on account aging
• Reconcile discrepancies and process payments
• Partner with billing and customer service to resolve disputes

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Comfort handling high call volumes remotely
• A professional, empathetic, and persistent phone manner
• Basic spreadsheet and CRM/billing software skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
