Collections Consultant

Responsibilities

• Collections for multiple clients
• Ability to read an insurance contract and monitor claims accordingly
• Track trending issues such as reoccurring denials, payment variances, and payer processing delays
• Work with multiple systems daily
• Able to adapt to change with ease
• Review EOB’s to identify payment errors, denials and low reimbursement
• Identify and correct claim errors in clearinghouse and EMR systems
• Make phone calls to insurance companies for claim follow up
• Research account receivables for both Medicare and Non-Medicare collections

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial claims follow up and commercial collections
• High School Diploma
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office efficiently, including Outlook (email and calendar), and Excel
• Experience with multiple EMR systems
• Experience with denials/rejections in Waystar
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Knowledge of how to use a phone line system, copier/scanner, fax, and email
• Able to sit for at least eight hours per day and look at a computer screen
• Able to work in the office

Pay

• Hourly, 40 hours per week, full time, non-exempt position
• Hours are M-F, 8 AM - 4:30 PM CST (30-minute lunch break)
