About the role
We are seeking a full-time, non-exempt Collections Associate II to join our team at the Corporate Headquarters in Springfield, Oregon. This position is onsite only and requires availability Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm. You will act in the interest of SELCO by contacting members to resolve negative share and unsecured loan accounts.
Pay
Base Salary: $22.90 to $34.55 per hour, with new hires generally starting between $24.85 to $28.70 per hour, based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Spanish-language differential: Candidates who pass the Spanish language assessment earn an additional $1-$2 per hour.
Incentives: Eligible for monthly incentives up to $600 based on collection activity and queue management. Additionally, all team members receive an annual incentive (0%-12% of prior year’s eligible earnings, averaging 11.07% over the last five years).

Responsibilities
- Communicate with members who have negative shares and/or delinquent unsecured loans to resolve delinquency by assisting them in developing plans to bring accounts current.
- Review, maintain, and resolve accounts on individual collection queue lists to mitigate SELCO’s exposure to risk.
- Send appropriate notices as directed or required by law for collections, legal actions, and other applicable situations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of customer service experience
- At least three (3) months of collections experience
- Must be bondable
