About the role

Headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) is the U.S. Sales and Marketing subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. This role manages all financial activities for National and Major Retail customer accounts receivable (AR), establishing best practices to ensure full collection of receivables. Responsibilities include dispute resolution, contract review, process improvements, and maintaining effective relationships with business partners to drive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage current Aged Trial Balance (ATB) and all transactions for assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and quality for dispute resolution.
  • Conduct reconciliations; identify, investigate, and resolve process and system issues, providing suggestions for solutions.
  • Ensure timely issuance of credits for valid customer chargebacks.
  • Reconcile and resolve credit balances, requesting refunds when necessary.
  • Advise sales teams on outstanding chargebacks and past-due invoice issues, enlisting support for dispute resolution.
  • Partner with Logistics to resolve shortage deductions and Proof of Delivery (POD) issues for chargebacks and past-due invoices.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely resolution of outstanding AR issues.
  • Perform system updates, including proper coding for clearing and matching chargebacks and credits in SAP.
  • Process all clearings prior to monthly closing.
  • Effectively manage client relationships and facilitate consistent customer meetings via web conferencing.
  • Prepare and communicate various weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports to management.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred.

Skills

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Diplomacy and ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), including V-lookup, Pivot tables, and Macros.
  • Experience with AI tool implementation and usage in job functions preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency to complete tasks.
  • Ability to manage relationships effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
