Collaborative Worship Pianist

About the role

Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church seeks a Collaborative Worship Pianist to join their music team. This position involves leading piano accompaniment during worship services and rehearsals.

Responsibilities

• Provide piano accompaniment during Sunday morning and evening worship services.
• Collaborate with the choir and other musicians to enhance the musical experience.
• Prepare and practice music selections in advance of performances.
• Support the pastor and congregation in creating an inviting and engaging worship environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in collaborative piano.
• Strong technical skills on the piano.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music or related field preferred.
• Experience with church music and worship services.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Skills

• Good timekeeping and punctuality.
