Role
Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical engineer for the enterprise collaboration suite, including Google Workspace (Admin Console, Gmail, Drive, Vault, Gemini), Smartsheet, and Lucidchart. Leads the day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and architecture of all core collaboration platforms to support a global workforce.
Responsibilities
- Administers, supports, and optimizes core collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Lucidchart) for a global user base of over 300,000 employees.
- Designs and executes global rollouts, configuration baselines, and change management processes for new and existing features and tools.
- Implements, maintains, and enforces security controls and governance policies (DLP, data residency, conditional access, SSO/SAML, OAuth) in close collaboration with Information Security, Compliance, and Identity teams.
- Develops, maintains, and leverages scripting and automation tools (Google Apps Script, Python, PowerShell, GAM) to reduce operational load and enhance service quality.
- Led the integration of Google Workspace and complementary collaboration platforms (Smartsheet, Lucidchart) with other enterprise systems to create seamless, efficient cross-departmental workflows.
- Leads and supports data migration projects between collaboration platforms (e.g., from M365 to Google Drive).
- Acts as the highest point of technical escalation (Tier 3) for complex or critical issues related to platform functionality, identity, security, or API integrations.
- Leads root cause analysis (RCA) and maintains SLA and incident management processes, including participation in on-call rotations.
- Develops and performs knowledge transfer to global support teams to delegate resolution of recurring support requests and reduce escalation volume.
- Evaluates emerging collaboration technologies and industry trends, developing strategic recommendations and roadmaps to enhance the digital employee experience.
- Develops and maintains detailed reporting on collaboration tool usage, system performance, security posture, and license management.
- Conducts research and makes recommendations on standards, products, and services.
- Promotes and supports the integration of Google Workspace with other enterprise systems to create seamless, efficient cross-departmental workflows.
- Supports large-scale user/directory integrations and ensures the support ecosystem is prepared for new feature rollouts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering, securing, and evolving Google Workspace (or Microsoft M365) in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Google Workspace Administrator certification (or relevant Microsoft/Cloud equivalent).
- Deep expertise in Google Workspace security and compliance features, including Vault, DLP, auditing, and threat analysis.
- Proven experience implementing and managing API-driven automation for Google Workspace services.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace API security, OAuth, and API integrations.
- Proficiency in writing and executing GAM (Google Apps Manager) command-line scripts.
- Proficiency with Google Apps Script for custom solutions and automation.
- Hands-on experience with third-party Google Workspace management/automation tools (e.g., Bettercloud).
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management principles, including hands-on experience with GCDS (Google Cloud Directory Sync) and/or integrating Google Workspace with modern IDPs (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory).
- Strong understanding of governance, policy creation, and lifecycle management for collaboration platforms.
- Experience with continuous monitoring, security compliance, and risk analysis frameworks specific to cloud environments.
- Knowledge of and proficiency with leveraging AI tools, including Gemini for Workspace, to enhance platform functionality, support, and user experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced operations environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.

Pay
- Level 1 - $85,000 - $110,000
- Level 2 - $105,000 - $135,000
- Level 3 - $130,000 - $160,000
- Level SR - $150,000 - $190,000
- Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
- Level Staff - $180,000 - $225,000
- Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
