Thriveworks is a mental health provider with 340+ locations and serves over 175,000 clients annually. We are a clinician-founded and led organization offering tools, support, and community for a fulfilling career. We seek a Supervising Psychiatrist to join our team, focusing on quality healthcare and exceptional patient service.

The ideal candidate shares our commitment to safety and best practices via telemedicine. We do not treat substance use disorders and refer out to in-person providers for severe cases. Collaborators must be licensed, live in Mississippi, and practice medicine in-person at least 20 hours per week or 80 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (NP).
  • Conduct quarterly Quality Assurance (QA) meetings via video with each NP.
  • Be available via text/email to answer questions during business hours, responding within the same business day.
  • Review 10% or 20 charts (whichever is less) per provider per month, based on clinical need or complexity.
  • Complete a short 1-page Google Document after each monthly supervision session for each collaborating NP.
  • Stay updated on company policies and program guidelines.
  • Complete annual training as required by the HR department.

Requirements

  • MD/DO in Psychiatry with active and unrestricted licenses in MS.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising residents or mid-levels.
  • Willingness to take a minimum of 4 NPs under supervision.
  • No malpractice payouts, licensure disciplinary actions, or criminal/professional investigations in the last 5 years.
  • Compact license or willingness to obtain one or be licensed in multiple states.
  • Practice medicine in-person 20 hours per week or 80 hours per month in the state of Mississippi.
