Cold Warehouse Forklift Operator - 2nd shift

About the role

As a Warehouse Forklift Operator based in Londonderry, NH, you will carry out responsibilities such as picking cases of yogurt based on customer orders using a pallet jack or forklift. You will collaborate with team members in the warehouse, industrial, or supply chain teams to align duties with the company's goals and values.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick SKU, quantity of product, and best-buy-date (BBD) with a handheld scanner at an established rate.
• Safely, accurately, and efficiently operate pallet jack and forklift.
• Assemble stable pallets according to customer specifications.
• Wrap, label, and stage pallets for shipment.
• Move finished pallets to assigned locations in the warehouse.
• Participate in inventory counts.
• Rework and/or handpack product as required to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean working area.
• Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality, as defined in plant and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including audit preparation, inventory preparation, and safety programs.

Work Conditions

• Use of handheld scanners is required.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a cold environment is required.
• Requires the ability to flex schedule as needed to meet business demands, including nights and/or weekends.

Work Environment

The role operates in a cold warehouse environment with moderate to excessive noise and distractions. You may encounter areas that are cold, wet, slippery, obstructed, and loud, and will be required to wear safety attire or protective gear. Interaction with others and use of standard office equipment, such as computers or phones, is required.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating a stand-up forklift preferred.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
• Ability to operate in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment.

Schedule

Tuesday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, with a 5% shift differential.
