About the role

The University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a fellowship-trained, full-time, board-certified Cognitive Neurologist to join their care team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including, surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Sub-specialized ambulatory group, general neurology, sports neurology, movement disorder, epilepsy
  • Diagnostics and management of a wide spectrum of adult neurological conditions including headache, epilepsy, stroke, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, dementia, and neuromuscular disorders
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities for patients
  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents if desired
  • Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey
  • Participate in academic hybrid model of care
  • Utilize extensive primary care referral network
  • Work within a highly market-competitive compensation plan

Qualifications

  • Fellowship trained in Neurology
  • Board certified in Neurology
  • Experience working with culturally diverse patients
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, or Bosnian

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of current neurological treatments and clinical trials
