About the Role
MercyOne Iowa is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist with an interest in a Cognitive and Behavioral based setting to join its well-established practice in Des Moines. This opportunity includes outpatient clinical care, teaching internal medicine residents and medical students, and participating in clinical trials.
MercyOne Ruan Neurology is an integrated multispecialty practice with a statewide referral network, comprising 10 Neurologists and 4 Advanced Practice Providers. The practice manages the full spectrum of neurological diseases and is an MS Center of Excellence. Opportunities exist for outreach and tele-neurology, and the team collaborates closely with Neurosurgery, PMR, and Pain Medicine.
MercyOne Des Moines includes 4 central/southern Iowa hospitals totaling 875 beds and manages 16 rural hospitals. The MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is a Level 2 Trauma hospital with 550 beds, serving a tertiary area of 1.4 million. The center has received the Get with The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Fellowship training in Geriatric Neurology or Behavioral Neurology preferred
